Immunity Builder Salad Mix
Our Immunity Builder Salad Mix is a mix of freshly picked and organically grown leafy greens, organic veggies and organically grown herbs. This blend of many different plant groups provides maximum nutrition and phytochemicals necessary for optimum health and disease resistance.
Produce Grown at Canterbury Creek Gardens
We grow our produce to the highest standards possible -- it is not just the food we sell, but the food that we eat. We grow in containers to eliminate any possibility of soil contamination, our own compost for potting soil, and our own fertilizer with a great range of natural sources of trace minerals.
Our All-Organic Fertilizer
Our fertilizer is the next generation of organic fertilizers. It is fully organic, poultry manure based, with the finest natural sources of trace minerals available. We also include dozens of species of microbes to help plants expand plant root systems, increase nutrient uptake and minimize pest damage. These include many strains of Mycorrhizal and Trichoderma Fungi, over 50 strains of beneficial bacteria and several strains of Streptomycetes.
Our Living Soils
We sell only biologically active, compost based soils. While most soils sold today are peat moss mixes -- or questionable topsoil products, our potting soils and soil conditioners are made from compost products. These soils bring the magic of microbes to your containers -- or your garden. These microbes nourish your plants, provide growth hormones, and help to protect your plants from pest damage. Beware of soils labeled as "organic". Since the term "organic" has no restrictions in the world of soils, unscrupulous producers throw an organic label on their soils -- and charge more. Compost based -- or -- living soils are the natural way to healthier and more productive plants.
Our soil products include leaf humus -- leaf humus based potting soil -- our own compost made from the waste products of our organic salad mix -- and a compost based seed starting mix with added soil microbes to quickly inoculate and protect seedlings as they germinate.
Vegetable Transplants
Our vegetable transplants are varieties selected from over 30 years of testing -- with the City of Cleveland Summer Sprout Program -- private gardens -- and our container gardens here. They are grown in biologically active, or "living" soils, nourished with our trace mineral rich fertilizer, and timed for the best results in this area. This gets them off to the best start possible.
Salad Bowl Planters
Our Salad Bowl Planters are the easiest, most productive way of growing the most nutritious foods in the world, leafy greens. They are the result of 10 years of experimenting with different containers, soils, fertilizers, and varieties. The productivity is amazing because it is like growing these great foods in a compost pile -- using the best fertilizer available -- and the best plant varieties.
